چکیده
An earthquake of M = 5.6 occurred on the March 20, 2019, in Acipayam, Denizli, located a seismically active area at southwest Anatolian fault system, Türkiye. It caused extensive damages infrastructures. The relevant (Acipayam–Serinhisar zone) has not shown map Türkiye, and it been discovered first time by this study. Acipayam segment zone, which is divided into two separate segments. Three trenches were excavated for paleoseismological studies segment. samples collected from dated radiocarbon method. obtained data proposed three seismic events, surface rupture, BC 235–95, AD 1227–1263 1471–1738. Considering last produced earthquakes magnitude 6.0 6.5, 350 years apart.

Paleoseismic and Slip-Rate Observations along the Honey Lake Fault Zone, Northeastern California, USA
The Honey Lake fault is a major strike-slip fault in northeastern California that accommodates northwest-directed right-lateral shear in the northern Walker Lane. We reexamine the fault’s paleoseismic history and slip rate by evaluating a natural stream bank exposure of the fault and offset terrace riser. Structural and stratigraphic relations within the modern stream cut, radiocarbon ages, and...
متن کاملSignatures of the Balarud Deep Seated Fault Zone in Khushab Anticline, SW Iran, An Integrated Study
The Khushab anticline is located in the Zagros fold-thrust belt in the Lurestan. This anticline is affected by the Balarud fault zone, which is a part of Mountain Front Fault between the Lurestan and Dezful Embayment zones. Based on the measurement of the elements of fold style, this anticline is analyzed. According to these measurements, this anticline is a noncylindrical, asymmetrical and dis...
متن کاملIntegration of theoretical and the empirical deformations by KALMAN-Filtering in the North Anatolia Fault Zone
Earthquakes occur in regions with intense seismic activities and cause life and property losses. Predicting earthquakes, identifying deformations and decreasing earthquake effects have been major subjects for scientists, engineers, and authorities. One of the theories used for identifying location changes during an earthquake is the elastic half-space model. Recently, the Global Navigation Sate...
